Jen on top of A-Basin and the surrounding view before the sun went completely away for the day. A-Basin is the highest elevation ski resort and is located on the continental divide, so the views are really good and they often stay open until July..
Jen got contacts before the trip to try and solve the goggle-fogging issues and they worked!
The next day we went to Vail again and found this car. Apparently a rather well-funded hippie thought it would be great to plaster their Lexus SUV with stickers about saving mother earth and being a socialist. Interesting. Trustifarian comes to mind.

Jen was very tired afterwards.
We had to leave a bit early because the weather was not cooperating and the drive home was pretty bad. 26″ of snow ended up falling and closing highway 70 and the surrounding passes.

2 miles later. This went on for three hours for 8 miles to the tunnel.
At least we didn’t try it in a Corvette. I don’t know if I should be more impressed with by his bad decision making or the fact that he made it up the mountain as far as he did before getting stuck:
